Open Letter to the Judiciary of Kenya seeking clarification of how the City Magistartes court ought to be run

Dear Sir/Madam,

Today i attended the trial of an employee in the City Magistrate's court at City Hall pertaining to breaking Nairobi City By-laws.  The court sat to try the accused at precisely 2 p.m.  However, as interested parties and next of kin to the accused, we were not allowed to sit in the court and follow the proceedings.

I believe rules of natural justice require that any accused must be tried in an open court or in camera when the court feels it would further the ends of justice.  Even then, I believe the court ought to communicate to the public and consider any objections raised.

The trial was over within minutes. The judgement readout to the kin and interested parties outside the court by someone from the court.  Further, threats were issued regarding late payment of fines that will see the accused locked up in the Industrial Area Remand Prison or Lang'ata Women's Prison.
I never heard the Judge announced or the charges read aloud nor the accused enter a plea. For all I know, I paid an illegal fine.  Further, I don't know how to get official court transcripts to prove the validity of the case.

Further, the court in session was packed with the accused sitting in the public seats.  It is really comical and ironic that an accused person is treated as a free person before he is sentenced.
That said, I would like official communication from the Judiciary on how this matter ought to be handled from the moment the accused is presented at the Council's office to when they are finally let go.

Today's experience is the second such in two years. It seems Nairobi County courts are heavily weighed with litigation pertaining to big or frivolous matters.

I hope to hear from you soon

Your's faithfully

Convergence: Thinking like the Bride of Christ

Rev 22:17: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

We are in the season of the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

We find the principle of present truth which establishes us, not historical truth.
The last name of the church is the bride. The Lord is relating with the church as a bride. In this season, we see ourselves as the bride. We must change our mindset to a relationship type of a mentality, thinking as a bride. The issue of submission will not be a problem.

Mat 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Mat 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son...

The kingdom of heaven is the focal point of the convergence of the bride and the spirit, speaking in unison.

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Our greatest calling is not to do ministry but to have a relationship with the bridegroom, a love relationship.

Dimensions of thinking as a bride are:
1. Produces emotions of Jesus Christ – Embrace the revelation of Jesus Christ
2. The revelation of Jesus' commitment to us as a bridegroom.
3. Jesus requires of us to be able to whole heartedly respond to His love for us.
4. That we demonstrate our response to His will (His Word) which is obedience.
5. To get into the adventure-love to and for Christ, thereby growing in the Love
6. We learn how we abandon ourselves to Him (There is nothing like He helps those who help themselves)
7. Sacrificially love and obey Him as a Bride

Note: We have always thought of God as a man with a big club ready to snuff you out. No, we must think of Him as a loving bridegroom.

This message was preached at Life Church International, Nairobi, Kenya by Dr David Juma, Apostle and minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ

Biblical Perspectives on Wealth

The basic concept of wealth is: If you know the truth about money and wealth, you will reduce money - induced stress.
Riches attract friends (Proverbs 14:20). Wealth also has wings and flies away. It is very important for the Christan to pray to God the Father to release from the 'normal' conundrum of paying bills for example, rent and buy your own home. Indeed, one of the characteristics of rich people is that they own the roof over their heads.
Keep in mind that genuine faith is far more precious than any amount of gold. Riches truly are corruptible. They are uncertain riches, so we cannot place any faith on them but in the God that gives us riches to richly enjoy.
In the pursuit of possessions, use the same wealth and possessions to pursue Jesus. Remember, wisdom is the principal thing. Get it and get understanding.
God bless us with wealth and wisdom to use wealth to advance your agenda on the earth. Your will be done.
